How We Deal with Challenges in Automotive Parts Handling

Automotive parts handling involves heavy loads, frequent movement, and strict surface protection requirements.
Explore how our containers are designed to address these challenges in real-world operations.

A single vehicle includes around 30,000 components, from engines and suspensions to body panels, making inventory control and logistics tracking increasingly complex.

Frequent manual handling of parts in manufacturing zones can lead to a high risk of musculoskeletal injuries, especially strain on the back and shoulders.

Automotive manufacturing involves multiple stages such as welding, painting, interior assembly, and final assembly. A stoppage at one station can quickly cause downstream bottlenecks.

Sensitive or precision components are vulnerable to scratches, impact, and deformation during handling and transit, often leading to rework, rejection, or additional claims.

When parts are stored in containers, especially smaller components or mixed SKUs, it's hard to access exactly what you need from the bins.

Our plastic containers come in multiple sizes, colors, and label options to support clear part classification. RFID tags can also be integrated to store product data and enable real-time tracking and identification across the supply chain, improving accuracy.

Our pallet containers feature a four-way forklift base and reinforced structure, supporting up to 4 tons static load and 1 ton dynamic load per unit. They stack securely up to 8–13 layers and can be moved in bulk by forklift, reducing manual handling and injury risks.

Our pallet boxes are built with flat, reinforced bases in standardized dimensions, compatible with AGVs, roller conveyors, and automated handling systems. They move without tilting or jamming, keeping the whole production line running without interruption.

Our containers are made from premium virgin HDPE/PP with smooth, wear-resistant inner surfaces. Customizable inserts are also available to secure the parts and reduce friction and vibration during movement.

Our pallet boxes are designed with foldable side access doors, while smaller bins feature front drop-down openings. This allows operators to easily view and access parts directly, improving picking efficiency.

Recommended Container Types for Car Parts Storage & Transport

Below are four container types designed to support different part sizes, load requirements, and handling methods,
helping you keep auto parts organized, protected, and easy to handle.

Rigid Pallet Containers

Rigid Pallet Containers

Our fixed-wall pallet boxes are heavy-duty, non-collapsible containers designed for storing and transporting large volumes of materials. With no folding joints or hinges and a reinforced grid structure, they offer high structural strength. Each unit can carry loads exceeding 1 ton and can be stacked up to five layers when fully loaded.
For efficient handling, these large containers feature a four-way forklift base, allowing full-load movement by forklift or AGV to improve loading and unloading efficiency. The smooth inner walls and rounded corners help prevent damage to the part surfaces during handling and transport.

Collapsible Bulk Containers

Collapsible Bulk Containers

Our collapsible bulk containers are used for handling, storing, and returning automotive parts. With a four-way forklift entry base, they work with forklifts and other standard equipment for efficient warehouse movement. When empty, they fold down to one-third of their full height to save return freight and storage space.
They also feature drop-down side doors for easier parts access during loading and picking, especially in line-side operations. Reinforced ribbed walls support loads up to 500 kg and allow stacking up to five high, helping improve vertical storage efficiency in automotive logistics.

Pallet Pack Containers

Pallet Pack Containers

Sleeve pack bulk containers consist of a plastic pallet base, a foldable sleeve, and a lid. The sleeve is made from high-density PP honeycomb panels, providing strong structural support while keeping the overall weight low. With a load capacity ranging from 200 to 800 kg, they are well-suited for high-density storage of automotive components such as engines and radiators.
These bulk containers also feature a four-way forklift base for easy movement within warehouses and distribution centers. When not in use, the sleeve can be folded down in an M or Z shape and stored between the pallet and lid, reducing return transport volume by 65% to 80%, helping lower storage and logistics costs.

Splicing Plastic Pallet Boxes

Splicing Plastic Pallet Boxes

These extra-large modular pallet boxes consist of a pallet base, two side panels, two foldable walls, a lid, and reinforced metal components. They support quick assembly and disassembly, with a folded height of just 380 mm.
Steel reinforcements are integrated into their box structure, along with metal corner protectors for added durability. They can be stacked up to four layers when fully loaded, with a static load capacity of up to 4,000 kg, making them suitable for storing large automotive components. They also feature customizable side-access doors and forklift-entry pallet bases for quick handling and transport.

Plastic Parts Bins

Plastic Parts Bins

Plastic parts bins are widely used in automotive production, maintenance workshops, and warehouses for storing small components such as nuts, bolts, and electronic parts. The deep, semi-open front design allows for quick access and replenishment during daily operations.
These storage bins feature a flat base and a nestable design, making them suitable for use on shelves, in cabinets, on workbenches, or mounted on louvered panels. Side interlocking clips allow multiple bins to be securely connected. A front label area is included for clear identification, with a range of sizes and colors available to help organize different parts efficiently.

Plastic Parts Bins

Plastic Turnover Crate

We also supply these reinforced crates for the automotive, electronics, and machinery industries. Built with reinforced grid ribs and diagonal bracing, each container offers a load capacity of up to 35 kg. They support 12-layer stacking even at full load and can be used with wheeled bases to meet the demands of bulk component transportation.
Standardized dimensions ensure compatibility with AGV, ASRS, and AMR systems, enabling fast integration into automated warehousing systems. Their non-slip bases further enhance stability during handling, especially in high-throughput sorting and assembly lines.

Inbound Receiving & Part Sorting

At receiving, bins are used to unload, check, and sort incoming parts from suppliers. Small components such as fasteners, clips, connectors, and plastic fittings are typically separated by SKU to prevent mixing. Standardized bins make component counting and putting away more consistent.

Line-side Feeding & Kitting

On the assembly line, parts are pre-sorted and delivered in bins by workstation or kit. The open-front design allows operators to pick parts without stopping the line. These bins are often placed on carts, flow racks, or used with AGV systems for continuous replenishment.

In-Process Handling (WIP Transfer)

Between production steps, bins are used to move semi-finished parts such as sub-assemblies or component sets. Stackable structures and forklift bases help keep materials stable during transport, reducing manual handling.

Workshop Use & Inventory Storage

In maintenance areas and warehouses, bins are used to store spare parts, tools, and high-frequency items. Label slots and color coding help identify different SKUs, making it easier for staff to locate and restock parts during daily operations.

Outbound Shipping & Return Flow

They are used to transport parts to downstream plants, distribution centers, or automotive part retailers. At this stage, custom inserts are added to protect sensitive components during transit. RFID tags can be integrated to track container movement and support closed-loop return management across the supply chain.
