Where Our Reusable Containers Fit in the Supply Chain
Reusable containers are used in modern supply chains, from inbound receiving and warehouse storage to distribution,
store replenishment, and empty-container return. See how our container solutions fit your product type, load weight,
and handling requirements to support a smoother workflow.
Inbound Receiving
When materials arrive at processing facilities, our pallet boxes and sleeve packs can be used to receive and sort them by SKU, batch, supplier, or production order. Compared with wood crates or cardboard packaging, reusable plastic containers are less likely to crack, absorb moisture, or attract pests. For heavier parts, rigid containers provide a stronger option to help prevent container deformation.
Warehouse Storage & Sorting
Inside the warehouse, our containers help keep goods organized before they move to production lines, picking areas, shipping zones, or retail channels. Pallet boxes are suitable for bulk storage, while attached-lid containers, folding crates, and parts bins are often used for small items, mixed SKUs, and materials that need frequent picking. Clear label areas, color options, and RFID compatibility help reduce product mix-ups.
In-Plant & Warehouse Transfer
In factories and logistics centers, products often move between storage areas, workstations, packing areas, and loading docks. This is where pallet boxes and stackable crates are commonly used. Our pallet-based containers feature four-way forklift entry, allowing full containers to be moved by handling equipment. They can fit into existing logistics systems easily, without major workflow changes.
Distribution & Delivery
Our transport containers are made from high-quality materials with reinforced structures and can withstand low-temperature storage environments. They help protect goods as they move from factories through cold-chain transport and on to stores. Turnover crates, parts bins, sleeve packs, and pallet boxes can all be stacked, sealed, labeled, returned, washed, and reused after delivery.
Store Replenishment
For retail and supermarket delivery, handheld crates and attached lid containers are commonly used for unloading, backroom sorting, shelf replenishment, and empty-container return. Their smaller size makes them easier for staff to carry and handle in narrow backroom areas. Open-front parts bins can also help organize small packaged goods, hardware accessories, books, ornaments, and other retail inventory.
Reverse Logistics & Reusable Packaging Systems
Our containers can also help operators save 60–85% of space in return logistics or off-season warehouse storage. Their stackable, nestable, or foldable structures make better use of vertical space. This also makes it easier to plan storage capacity and manage container circulation.
Reusable packaging systems depend on efficient empty-container return. Many of our containers are stackable, nestable, or foldable, helping operators reduce empty storage volume by around 60–85%, depending on the container type. This makes it easier to plan return transport, off-season storage, and container circulation across multiple locations.
Built to Support Real Supply Chain & Logistics
Across modern supply chains, containers need to do more than hold products. They must withstand vibration, long
stacking periods, temperature changes, and frequent loading and unloading. Enlightening Plast designs plastic
storage and transport containers to improve efficiency under real working conditions.

Whether goods move inside a factory, across a warehouse, or between distribution points, this structure helps reduce manual handling and keeps products ready for faster transfer.
Many of our pallet-based containers are designed with standardized footprints and four-way forklift entry, making them compatible with forklifts, pallet trucks, warehouse AGVs, and automated handling systems. Whether goods move inside a factory, across a warehouse, or between distribution points, this structure helps reduce manual handling and keeps products ready for faster transfer.
Handle Heavy Loads with Stability
For heavy-duty logistics, our pallet boxes and sleeve pack containers can be built with reinforced ribs, optional metal tubes, and corner protectors. Selected models support static loads of up to 4 tons, dynamic loads of up to 1 ton, and stable stacking of 5–8 layers, depending on the container type and working conditions. This makes them suitable for industrial parts, automotive components, bulk goods, and other products.
Protect Fresh, Frozen, and Food-Contact Goods
Made from 100% virgin food-grade PP or HDPE, our containers can be produced to meet FDA food contact requirements. They are suitable for fresh produce, food ingredients, seafood, frozen meat, and other temperature-sensitive goods. The material resists moisture, acids, alkalis, and working temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, supporting cold storage, frozen handling and demanding supply chain environments.
Support Long-Term Outdoor & Regional Transport
For outdoor storage, regional transport, or long-term reusable supply chains, UV-stabilized material options can be added to help slow brittleness, fading, and surface aging. With the right material selection and proper handling, selected reusable plastic containers can support a service life of up to 15 years under normal use conditions, helping businesses reduce replacement costs.
Make Sorting, Tracking, and Returns Easier to Control
Color coding, logo printing, label areas, barcode labels, and RFID options help logistics teams identify and separate goods by product type, route, customer, batch, or return cycle. For businesses managing large volumes across multiple sites, these identification features make warehouse sorting, dispatch, and return management easier to organize.
Recommended Container Types for Your Long-Term Logistics
Below are the reusable container types we recommend for different storage, handling, transport, and distribution needs.
They help keep raw materials and products organized, protected, and ready for efficient movement.
Collapsible Bulk Containers
Our folding pallet boxes are used in industrial manufacturing, automotive logistics, warehouse transfer, and bulk material handling. Their foldable structure reduces empty return volume by around 70%, while the four-way pallet base supports handling by forklift or pallet jack.
Available in solid-wall and ventilated designs, these containers meet different needs for airflow, hygiene, and load protection. Optional drop-down side doors make loading, picking, and unloading easier, especially in stacked storage or line-side material handling.
Rigid Pallet Boxes
Our solid-wall containers are best for heavy loads and higher product protection, with stable stacking up to five layers. Solid-wall models are often used in industrial manufacturing, automotive logistics, and electronic parts transport, where stronger load capacity, sidewall protection, and better scratch resistance are required.
Ventilated models are suitable for fresh produce and goods that require refrigerated transport. They combine structural strength with airflow, making them practical for warehouses, cold storage facilities, processing plants, and distribution centers.
Sleeve Pack Containers
Sleeve packs, also known as pallet pack containers, are widely used for large parts, electronic products, automotive components, batteries, and other high-value goods. Their foldable sleeve structure helps reduce return volume, while optional liners, dividers, and dunnage can be added to protect sensitive products.
For logistics programs that require customized reusable packaging, sleeve packs offer strong flexibility. They can be designed with reinforced structures, lids, ESD options, or custom dimensions based on the product and transport route.
Insulated Rotomolded Plastic Boxes
Our rotomolded transport boxes are used for cold chain transport and are commonly chosen by fisheries and food processing plants. Made from food-grade LLDPE, they are BPA-free, odor-free, and resistant to detergents, chemicals, sunlight, and mold. The double-wall shell and insulated middle layer help keep seafood and perishable foods cold for longer periods with less ice.
To help maintain freshness and product safety, the boxes can be fitted with elastic silicone latches. Depending on your supply chain needs, they can also be used with lids, ice packs, crushed ice, or drainage systems. A four-way forklift base also supports fast handling during storage and transport.
Attached Lid Containers
Attached lid containers are a practical choice for moving and storing small parts, packaged goods, books, food items, retail supplies, and picked orders. They are commonly used in production lines, distribution centers, and retail backrooms where products are handled frequently.
Each container comes with hinged lids reinforced by steel rods. The lids fold neatly to both sides during loading and picking, then close securely to help protect contents from dust, moisture, and splashing water. For added security, locking points on both ends can be used with tamper-evident ties during storage or transport. And they can nest together when empty to reduce space.
Bale Arm Crate
These are reusable transport items (RTIs) commonly used in distribution centers to store shelves and can also serve as in-store display units. The side-mounted bale arms rotate 180 degrees. When folded down, the crates nest together to save return and storage space. When raised and locked, they support secure stacking after loading.
These plastic crates are available with ventilated walls and bases for airflow, or solid walls for better product protection. A reinforced anti-slip grid base helps keep them stable on wet floors and conveyor systems.
Plastic Turnover Crates
Our turnover crates are well-suited for high-frequency retail distribution. These handheld containers are made from FDA-approved plastic that is odorless, non-toxic, and resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, supporting both chilled and frozen storage. Liners are also added to protect the product inside.
Standardized dimensions and rounded corners allow the crates to move smoothly through AGV, AS/RS, and AMR systems for automated logistics operations. With stackable, nestable, and foldable designs, they can reduce empty storage space by up to 70%. Reinforced rib structures and wide integrated handles provide stable stacking and comfortable manual handling.
